Process

A transbliteration is not a translation and not an obliteration — it is both: a poem carried across four centuries by rewriting it entirely, keeping its argument and losing its skin.

Each of Shakespeare’s 154 sonnets is first transbliterated into modern free verse. Every line of the new poem then becomes a prompt — material, artists, place, light — that generates an image of an imagined sculpture in a garden. The strongest sculptures are lifted off the page into true 3D models, and the spaces between lines are explored as interpolation videos: the poem walking from one image to the next.

The result is a sculpture garden grown from a book.
